Quick and Easy Indian-Style Leftover Fried Rice Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup leftover cooked rice


2 tbsp oil


1 medium onion, finely chopped


1 tsp ginger garlic paste


Mixed vegetables (carrot, cauliflower, peas, bell pepper – chopped)

You can also add green beans and potatoes if you like 

Salt to taste


Black pepper to taste


2 tbsp mixed sauce (chili sauce + soy sauce)


Step-by-Step Recipe

1. Prepare the sauce

Mix chili sauce and soy sauce to create a flavorful base for the rice.




2. Saute vegetables

Heat oil in a pan and add finely chopped onions. Saute until translucent. Add ginger garlic paste and stir well.





Next, add the chopped vegetables of your choice—carrots, cauliflower, peas,  bell peppers. Saute until vegetables are slightly tender. Season with salt and black pepper.




3. Add leftover rice and sauce

Add the leftover rice to the pan with the sautéed vegetables. Pour in the prepared chili and soy sauce mix, tossing everything together to coat well.
